YEEES SUSTAINABILITY CAMP in Port Elizabeth

Are you interested in international cooperation and the opportunity to spend a month abroad? Are you interested in sustainable entrepreneurship and want to share your ideas and skills with a group of like-minded university students who have been given the task of finding solutions for local entrepreneurial challenges? If so, you should take part in our third “YEEES Sustainability CAMP-Sustainable Entrepreneurship in PE” taking place from September 6th to October 6th, 2019 in beautiful Port Elizabeth.  

Our project specifically elaborates on the resilience of cities and peri-urban areas with a focus on diverse fields such as: education, sustainability, arts and creativity. We are committed to supporting the development of especially entrepreneurial and ICT-based solutions.

During the camp you will work in interdisciplinary teams alongside selected students from Germany, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa. You will team up with local sustainable entrepreneurs. Throughout the camp you will be applying your creativity and entrepreneurial mind-set to generate solutions for the challenges faced by these change agents.

The YEEES Team together with Nelson Mandela University are collaborating in the conception and development of the camp.

Requirements:

  • You must be an enrolled student at a university in Germany, Mozambique, Namibia or South Africa
  • English language is a requirement
  • Commitment to work in Port Elizabeth for the entire duration of the camp September 6th to October 6th, 2019

*As a participant of our idea Camp you will be awarded funding for your costs of living during the camp in South Africa, including flight expenses. This is only for students coming from outside of South Africa. South African students are welcome to join us and take part in all camp activities at no cost. Visa and insurance expenses are not included.
